We have put together some of our customers most frequently asked questions.
1. Does the crew/guides speak English?
Yes – almost everyone you will meet during your trip to Poland with Pioneer speaks English. You will not have any trouble with communication.
2. How do we get to the San?
Look for flights to Rzeszow (RZE) only 100 km from the lodge or Kraków (KRK) 230 km.
3. What currency should I bring with me?
Easiest is to bring your national currency and exchange it into Zloty on place, but not at the airport! The airport exchange offices have very low rates. Not many places accept credit cards.
6. What about the food and drinks?
No-one ever left hungry – we are known for excellent home made food.
The kitchen is always open, so just feel free to make your tea, coffee or take a bun or sandwich whenever you like. There is always a fridge full of beers and we have some good wine supplies. We keep records of alcohol consumed, and we ask you kindly to pay for it at the end of your stay.
7.Where can we get flies from?
www.polishquills.com
It is a Polish fly tying company known for quality flies on barbless hooks.
A fly tying corner is accessible for everyone in our lodge – please think about leaving some fly tying materials in exchange of what you have used.
8. Who is guiding us?
There is always at least one English speaking guide with a group. Richard is taking care of most of the groups along with Wojtek.
9. Gratuities
Our guides and lodge employees work hard and strive to provide a service beyond a basic fishing trip. All gratuities are pooled and are split equally among the staff unless you stipulate otherwise. 100 zloty per person (about 25 €/£) being a usual tip, make it more or less if you are delighted or unhappy with the service provided.
10. Fishing equipment
We have quite a few spare rods and reels at the lodge supplied by Vision.
The only thing we do not supply are waders however a cooperation with Vision gives our clients substantial discounts if you want to buy any equipment or clothes from their vast range.
